Our Learn Spanish in Costa Rica trip combines outdoor adventure, rich experiences, and Spanish lessons.

Travel with a small group of globe-trotting families on this 7-day and 7-night trip; including guided tours, activities, and off-the-beaten-path experiences for the whole family.

And because no vacation to Costa Rica is complete without an adventure or two, we’ve planned an itinerary to include a day trip to a National Park to visit an active volcano.

THE PLAN

Located in Playa Flamingo (1-hour away from Guanacaste Airport LIR), CPI Costa Rica is one of the top Language Immersion schools in the country with small class sizes and experienced instructors.

Students will learn and practice Spanish in an environment designed to be fun and engaging! Classes are available for all grade levels, adults, and children 4 years and up. 

Prior to arrival, instructors will assess student’s language skills and recommend placement to ensure they get the most from the program.

Classes are small in size and are grouped by age and skill level. Instruction is held Monday through Friday for 4 hours with a scheduled break. Learning materials and texts will be provided when you arrive.

This package includes a Latin cooking class, volunteer activity, visits to breathtaking Brasilito and Tamarindo beaches, and a guided tour of the active volcano of Rincon De La Vieja at the National Park.

THE STAY-Casas del Toro

Accommodations for Learn Spanish in Costa Rica will be at Casas del Toro located in Playa Flamingo, Costa Rica.

Casas del Toro is a locally owned boutique resort that offers modern, well appointed, clean, and spacious rooms and casitas (apartments) perfect for families. It has received 5 out of 5-stars on Trip Advisor and Google reviews.

Each standard room and casita is equipped with cable TV, air conditioning, ceiling fans, and standard amenities. Housekeeping service is available upon request.

The resort features a garden onsite with walking path, a swimming pool, parking, security, and Wi-Fi. A snack pantry and laundry facility is also available.

Daily transfers to the school are included with your package. Breakfast will be served daily in Casas del Toro outdoor dining area.

You can choose from four package options based on the size of your family. Every room and casita is unique and vary in layout and style.

Room options available are as follows:

  1. Standard Room (Recently Constructed 430 Square ft) – 2 Double Beds + Bathroom Accommodates 2-3 guests
  2. One Bedroom Casita – (2 Double Beds + Bathroom + Kitchen + Small living Area ) Accommodates 2-3 guests
  3. Two Bedroom Casita – (2 Double Beds each room + 2 bathrooms + Kitchen + Small living Area) Accommodates 3-6 guests

Liberia Guanacaste Airport. (LIR)
This trip is recommended for all ages. Spanish instruction is offered to ages 5 and up. Students are not required to have previous language experience. There is an age/height requirement for river tubing which is 8 years old and 55 inches. Alternative activities will be available for anyone not meeting age or height requirements.
Travelers are not required to be fully vaccinated for entry to Costa Rica. Anyone 18 and older that are unvaccinated are required to purchase travel insurance as mandated by the country.
Spanish lessons are scheduled Monday-Friday from 8-1pm for a total of 20 hours. Group activities and tours are planned for after instruction.
All levels of instruction are offered in this package. Beginners, intermediate, and advanced.
Prior to the beginning of lessons, students’ levels will be assessed to ensure they are placed in the appropriate group based on level and age

Our per person price is based on the total price for a family. It is adjusted to include pricing for children. For these reasons, all bookings must include at least one child 18 years or younger.

Our trips are packaged exclusively for families with children. Yes, there needs to be at least one child traveling with you to book this package.

Extended families, such as grandparents, are able to book a package provided their grandchildren (under 18) are also booked.

Requirements for Entry to Costa Rica

 

Entry requirements for Costa Rica are as follows:

Valid Passport with 6 months validity for all travelers.

Complete the Health Pass within 72 hours of travel. One form per person including minors. https://salud.go.cr/

Vaccinated travelers must upload their vaccine cards on the Health Pass system

Unvaccinated travelers are required to purchase travel insurance.

Flight Information:

Purchase of the Land Only package does not include flights to Costa Rica. You are responsible for booking your flights for you and your family. The closest airport to Playa Flamingo is Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport (LIR). Travel time to the hotel from the Airport is approximately 1 hour.

Please plan to arrive on Sunday June 4th for check-in and our Welcome Reception. Check out is on Sunday June 11, 2023 by 10am.

Spanish Class

This trip is a language immersion experience and Spanish Classes are included in the package for all guests age 5-18 years.

It is expected that all students participate and attend Spanish class daily with the group, Monday – Friday 8:00am-12:00pm.

Parents can also attend Spanish language classes to support your children and brush up on language skills. An additional fee for adult classes will be offered to you after booking.

Instructors will assess student’s Spanish language skills and recommend group placement to optimize the learning experience based on age and language level.

Materials and texts will be provided for all students enrolled in Spanish instruction.

Group instruction have a maximum size of 4 students and will be held Monday through Friday for 4 hours with a scheduled break.

Accommodations

Room accommodations are established based on the number of travelers in your family.

Standard Rooms can comfortably accommodate 2-3 guests. 1 Bedroom Suites can accommodate 2-3 guests. And 2 Bedroom Suites can accommodate 3-6 guests.

Payments:

Automated payment installments are available as a courtesy to our customers. If you choose the installment plan please take note of the dates your payment will be applied.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

Deposits are non-refundable

20% penalty for Cancellations made after booking and before August 1, 2022

50% penalty for cancellations made after October 31, 2022

Trip is non refundable after January  31, 2023
